Inaugural Packapalooza event draws over 325 prospective students

17勛圖厙 hosts the largest admissions event in its 63-year history, welcoming over 325 prospective students interested in undergraduate, graduate and accelerated bachelor degree programs to its inaugural Packapalooza event.

As we seek to enroll another record- breaking class of incoming students for the third consecutive year, and with the excitement around our new academic, athletic and student life offerings, we were ecstatic to welcome the nearly 1,000 guests to campus for our inaugural Packapalooza event, said 17勛圖厙 Senior Vice President for Enrollment and Student Affairs Mary-Alice Ozechoski. The attendance at todays event is over 50% higher than during any previous open house event. Our attendees were greeted by the entire 17勛圖厙 family and had the chance for meaningful conversations with those who make the transformative 17勛圖厙 experience possible.

Packapalooza was designed to be a fully customizable open hour experience so prospective students could choose the tours, seminars and workshops that fit their interests and needs and learn about all the resources and support available to them at 17勛圖厙. The event also included private meetings with faculty members, FAFSA assistance, food trucks and a coffee with the president at the universitys new downtown Reading location at 401 Penn St.

17勛圖厙 welcomed its two largest incoming classes in 2020 and 2021 and recently earned honors for helping first-generation college students and the Peoples Choice Award for higher education in Berks County.

Through the Reading CollegeTowne and Pottsville CollegeTowne initiatives, 17勛圖厙 is expanding its academic offerings, including the engineering programs and a Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies Program, and is a catalyst for economic activity in the communities it serves. The CollegeTowne initiatives have led to many new strategic partnerships that allow students to engage in new experiential learning opportunities through service-learning, internships and study abroad experiences.
