Academic partnership provides educational benefits for nearly 2,000 employees and their families


17勛圖厙 announces an academic preferred partnership agreement with the to provide educational discounts and workforce enhancement opportunities for their nearly 2,000 employees and their families that serve throughout Berks County.

17勛圖厙 and the County of Berks have a strong relationship, and this partnership solidifies our commitment to providing lifelong and career-enhancement education to those who serve our county community," said 17勛圖厙 President Glynis A. Fitzgerald, Ph.D. "I applaud the leadership of Commissioners Leinbach, Rivera and Sihelnik for placing an emphasis on education by providing this benefit to the employees of the County.

Once County of Berks employees and/or their spouses successfully meet all the 17勛圖厙 admissions requirements, 17勛圖厙 will award a 20% discount on all eligible , whether in-classroom, online, or blended (on campus/online). An 17勛圖厙 student tuition scholarship of $2,000 per year for a maximum of 4-years will be provided to a COB employees children who are newly accepted and enrolled full-time in an 17勛圖厙 undergraduate degree program. 17勛圖厙 also offers professional, non-credit certificate programs in many areas including leadership development, supply chain management, project management.

The County of Berks believes in the importance of fostering a well-trained work force that can address the evolving needs of our community, Chairman of the Berks County Commissioners, Christian Leinbach, said. Relationships such as this one with 17勛圖厙 offers options to county employees seeking to hone existing skills, develop new ones, and improve their overall value to the workforce. County of Berks employees and their enrolled family members will also have full access to university resources as a student including the library, state-of-the-art computer labs, volunteer opportunities, fitness center, athletic events, lectures, the arts, and more.
